| Milford Daily News 13 September 2010 Daryl W. Aldrich, 64, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at home surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Aldrich was a school crossing guard for the town of Milford for the past 15 years. He was dedicated to his job and took special care with the children to make sure they were always safe when crossing the road to go to school. Daryl was born Feb. 2, 1946 in Milford the son of the late Edwin and Alice (Bourassa) Aldrich. He had been a resident of Northbridge and Uxbridge before moving to Milford. Mr. Aldrich enjoyed fishing and roller-skating. He supervised the childrens roller skating program at the Whitin Community Center in Northbridge. He was the devoted companion of many years to Jo-Ann Boucher. He is also survived by two sons; Daryl W. Carter of Uxbridge, Brian W. Aldrich of Milford, one daughter, Ashley Aldrich of Milford, one brother, Robert Aldrich of Milford, two sisters, Nancy Tavares of Blackstone and Joan E. Allaire of Mendon; three grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edwin Aldrich and James J. Drover Sr. Funeral services will be private. There are no public visiting hours.
